How Can We Help?

This is a brand new project (begun in May, 2017), and so we're still developing things. But as we begin, there are four main ways to help:

  1. Pray for the people of our church.
To many people, prayer seems like a very intangible thing. But as Christians we know that we are praying to the God of the universe who loves His people deeply and has proved that through the sending of His only Son Jesus to be crucified for the sins of the whole world. God is all-powerful and able to do more than we could ever ask or imagine. He invites us to pray in all circumstances of life and for all situations and people. For us, this tangibly includes those who are suffering because of CEF, our church leaders, and for all people according to their needs.
Read some Scriptures encouraging us to pray.
  2. Help those in your congregation,
If you are a part of an LCC congregation, discover who the people are in your congregation who are suffering because of CEF, and use the means at your disposal within your congregation to help. This could mean money, housing, and more.
  3. Give to this project.
If you are a person (or congregation, or business, or any entity) who has more financial resources than you need, prayerfully consider donating. This project is planning to facilitate receiving donations from anyone who will give and giving them out to those in need. Yes, the mechanics of that will take some work and may be difficult to work through. But we are committed to doing what we can to help our brothers and sisters in Christ who are in need.
We'll give more details as we put more of a plan together. For now, please prayerfully consider what you can give.
  4. Join the Barnabas Project team.
The people working on this project are volunteers who want to see healing and restoration begin in LCC. We will gain nothing personally from this project. The only "overhead" will very likely be in the fees that online payment processors charge (once that's set up). Even the costs for running this site and all the work done on the project are donated. This is not about us. It's about our brothers and sisters in Christ who are in need.
If you can contribute time and expertise to this project, let us know.
